Overview
RENOIR Birmingham, United Kingdom. We are working with one of Europe’s leading PE-backed venue management companies, headquartered in Birmingham. They operate live event, leisure, and entertainment venues across the UK, delivering conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and sporting events to millions of visitors each year.
They are hiring a Data Engineer to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract to deliver clean, timely, and integrated data pipelines that enable profit-based pricing decisions for the group.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage data pipelines for Arena ticketing, premium sales, and operational cost feeds (including API integrations for ticketing Partners).
- Ensure profitability analysis by integrating cost and revenue data (e.g. lounge staffing, catering etc).
- Set up and manage data feeds from Residency ticket agencies to compare revenue and margins across channels.
- Partner with the Commercial Analyst to align data with pricing and profitability models.
- Enable data structure to support automated reporting to deliver near-real-time insights on net profitability.
- Maintain governance, data quality, and documentation for all feeds.
Qualifications / Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in data pipeline management.
- Strong SQL, Python and ETL skills, with experience integrating cost and revenue datasets.
- Knowledge of APIs and real-time feeds from third parties.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI.
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- (Desirable) Experience in ticketing, live events, or hospitality data.
