Join our Facilities team and help us keep our hospice sites safe, welcoming and running smoothly for patients, families, volunteers, and staff. As a Receptionist, you'll be the face of the hospice, welcoming visitors, answering enquiries, and ensuring the smooth running of reception services. This is a rewarding role where your warmth and professionalism will make a real difference to patients, families, staff and volunteers.
What you will do:
- Welcome visitors and provide a warm, supportive first point of contact.
- Answer and direct telephone calls efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming reception and waiting area.
- Manage room bookings, meetings and calendars.
- Handle post, deliveries, and general administrative tasks.
- Support volunteers working on reception.
- Issue ID/access cards and help monitor site access.
- Handle donations (cash/cheques) with care and accuracy.
- Assist with building access (locking/unlocking) when required.
Qualifications:
- Right to work in the UK. No sponsorship for this role.
- Experience with manual handling and/or heavy lifting.
- Full, current valid UK driving licence.
