This voluntary role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of accounting, audit and risk management who can balance strategic thinking with attention to detail. If you have the desire to use those skills to support a local charity, we’d love to hear from you.
This role is instrumental to ensuring the charity's financial sustainability amidst a complex operating environment and challenging financial situation within the hospice sector. You can make a real impact on the lives of the local people we support. We have to raise 86% of our income ourselves, and so financial prudence and accountability are key to our continued sustainability.

What will you be doing?
You will serve as a key strategic leader on the Board, offering expert oversight and independent judgement to support robust financial management and organisational governance. You will lead the Board's oversight of all financial matters, including reserves and investment portfolios, and ensure the Board is briefed on financial compliance and reporting. Candidates must demonstrate deep commitment to the charity’s mission and significant experience in financial leadership.
