Salary: up to £36,000 depending on experience.

As the warehouse operations at Woodchester continue to evolve, this is a particularly exciting time to join the team. With the introduction of advanced storage automation and an expanding role in supporting Renishaw’s service requirements, the department is entering a period of significant development and innovation. We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual who can help shape these changes, ensuring our processes are robust, efficient, and ready to meet the future needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a warehouse team to support the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods via effective workload organisation and prioritisation.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Health & Safety in the warehouse environment, leading by example by promotion of best practice and identifying & implementing areas for improvement.
  • Ownership of local delivery, quality, and cost measures with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Pro-actively identify, plan, and implement process improvements and projects to increase operational efficiency of the area.
  • Adhere to customs/trade compliance legislation with regard to the movement of goods.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Section Manager where required and provide support to other site warehouses if needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy operational environment focused on achieving targets and identifying/actioning areas for improvement.
  • Possess good working knowledge of warehouse operations and related systems.
  • Possess good knowledge of Compliance aspects that impact warehouse operations, eg: Export Controls, Dangerous Goods legislation & Plastic Packaging Tax.
  • Good communication skills, written & verbal, are required as interaction with a wide range of business functions is integral to the role.

Person specification:

The successful applicant will be able to work under pressure in a busy operational environment whilst maintaining a positive ‘can do’ attitude. As a Supervisor they will be able to organise and prioritise workload effectively, meeting customer expectations.
