Renishaw UK Sales is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our UK & Ireland field sales team, covering the Midlands region. In this role, you’ll drive sales across Renishaw’s industrial metrology portfolio, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), machine tool probing, gauging and calibration solutions. You will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to securing orders, supported by a highly skilled team of applications engineers and sales support colleagues.
You will be responsible for building and managing a strong sales pipeline, delivering sustainable revenue growth across your region. You’ll engage with a diverse customer base, from small and medium-sized enterprises to global OEMs across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical and subcontract manufacturing. Working collaboratively within the UK Sales team, you’ll share knowledge, contribute to team success, and continuously develop your commercial and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Qualifying customers challenges in detail to identify Renishaw solutions for the benefit of our customers.
- Delivering sales of Renishaw’s industrial metrology products to end-user customers and prospects, to meet expected revenue targets.
- Advising customers on Renishaw’s core message of manufacturing capability and process control; identifying and developing strategies for long term key projects to achieve sales and growth targets.
- Developing high quality, value-based sales propositions and delivering technical sales presentations to all levels of staff from shop floor to the board-room.
- Participating in exhibitions, open houses and trade events in your own area and to support the rest of the sales team as required.
- Maintaining CRM to a level which supports accurate and reliable forecasting and pipeline management.
Key Requirements:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Able to easily build positive and productive relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Self-motivated, organised and an efficient time management approach.
- Conversant with PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
- Full driving license.
Additional Information:
This is a home-based role with regular travel to customer sites across the Midlands and to Renishaw’s headquarters in Gloucestershire.
