Salary between £34,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Overview

As part of the ongoing growth of Renishaw’s Spectroscopy Products Division, we are seeking a Materials Controller to support production at our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge. This role will cover all aspects of material planning and stock control that are required to support day to day production.

The successful candidate will be part of our production team, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide material control support to the assembly management team to ensure departmental plans are achieved.

  • Maintain the manufacturing system, including location management, routine stock counting, transit booking, work-in-progress monitoring, and job booking.

  • Progress parts supply, address job shortages, and kit jobs to assembly cells.

  • Perform order analysis to identify late orders and determine if material supply is the root cause.

  • Provide logistical support for the movement of goods around manufacturing sites.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address quality issues.

  • Support goods-in and warehousing activities.

Qualifications

  • Excellent level of computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • An analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail.

Desirable qualifications

  • Educated to A level (or equivalent) standard, supported by GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science.

  • Proficient in inventory management software and ERP/MRP systems, particularly SyteLine.

  • Previous experience with stock control processes.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised and detail oriented. They should be personable and an effective communicator and enjoy working as part of a team.
