Key Responsibilities:- Holding accountability for machine shop production performance across all shifts, driving productivity, efficiency and output.

- Collaborating and influencing stakeholders to resolve shortages and ensure consistent application of quality standards effectively across manufacturing.
- Supporting a culture of ownership, urgency, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Providing regular performance updates and reporting to the Senior Production Manager.
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are maintained.
- Previous demonstrable leadership experience within a machine shop, engineering or manufacturing environment, managing supervisors and/or multiple production teams.

- Effective collaborator, able to work cross-functionally to resolve operational and quality challenges quickly.
- Credible and influential communicator, able to challenge constructively and drive consistent standards.
- Demonstrates strong people leadership, including performance management, talent development and succession planning (e.g. 9 Box frameworks).
- Promotes alignment and accountability across shifts through clear communication and organisation.
- Resilient and composed under pressure, demonstrating sound judgement.
- Clear potential to progress into a senior operational leadership role, supporting a culture of accountability, urgency and continuous improvement.
- CNC machining or precision engineering background, with experience operating in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support production planning and control.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, including leading change or operational improvement initiatives.
