We are looking for commercially savvy, enthusiastic and driven fulfilment buyers to deliver a diverse portfolio of commodities on time, to the highest quality and best value, whilst also considering risk, compliance and sustainability. As part of the Group Manufacturing Services Division (GMSD), the Procurement Department identifies and manages the procurement of direct & indirect parts and services contributing to the full manufacturing service of our proprietary products. This is a growing global function with new and exciting requirements and challenges. The candidate will be part of a team in a fast-paced environment primarily based at either our Woodchester or Miskin sites with opportunities to be involved in a wide range of products, commodities and suppliers from around the world.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong core competencies, attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Previous purchasing experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Aiding Strategic Buyers and Managers with the ordering of stock, tracking orders and delivery requirements to ensure service levels are being met
  • Ordering a range of commodity parts and services
  • Actioning invoice queries
  • Showing attention to detail in maintaining system data accuracy for due dates, lead times and pricing
  • Liaise internally with other departments
  • Administration of stock levels and planning parameters
  • Report and communicate cost and delivery changes to Strategic Buyers
Key requirements
  • Experience in a professional environment with an interest in procurement and purchasing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Full driving licence
  • The ability to communicate effectively
Desirable requirements
  • Experience in a procurement or purchasing environment
  • An awareness of MRP/ERP systems and stock control processes
Person Specification

You’ll be comfortable building relationships with people and communicating to stakeholders. You’ll have a desire to learn, gain support and guidance from Strategic Buyers, to grow your skills and experience in a purchasing environment. You'll benefit from a robust training plan and support from the wider purchasing team as you embark on this exciting opportunity.
