Project Manager Wotton under Edge Up to £38,000 depending on experience Renishaw is seeking a Project Manager with strong project coordination and management skills to join our Machine Tool Products Division (MPD) and support the development of our future product range roadmaps. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary research and development teams to manage a variety of R&D and product upgrade projects—spanning both hardware and software. Your work will contribute to the advancement of new techniques, technologies, and products, helping to drive innovation within the Machine Tool Products sector. This role is based at our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Occasional travel to other sites may be required, depending on business needs. Responsibilities * Responsible for the management of MPD projects, from planning the project scope, execution of these plans, and the release of new products and technologies to market * Supporting projects through the formal Renishaw product development process * Communicating project progress and status to a range of stakeholders through various mediums, including verbal presentations and written documentation * Leading the risk management process and manage the resource requirements for project team(s) * Managing the compliance and documentation processes, project cost and resource forecast using Renishaw custom software * Attending team update meetings/stand ups and lead retrospectives and risk meetings * Assist with reporting of your projects for board papers, project reports and product roadmaps * Contribute to project management process improvement initiatives both within the division and across the wider group Key Requirements * You should be familiar with working to project management processes for R&D projects, managing projects that deliver new products to market * Experience managing projects that deliver new products to market and product launches * Minimum HNC / Degree educated (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline (STEM or Management), or equivalent experience. * Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and global team, but able to work independently as well to drive outcomes * Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. * A full, valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK. * A full UK driving license Desirable requirements * Recognised project management qualifications such as APM, Prince2, etc. * Experience managing RDEC/BEIS government funded projects would be highly advantageous * Experience of using configuration management systems for managing software development and engineering changes (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, Atlassian products, SharePoint, TeamCenter, etc) Person specification As a Project Manager, you’ll be a self-motivated, organised and dynamic individual, keen to make a significant contribution within our Machine Tool Products Division. You’ll communicate effectively, be innovative and highly organised, enabling yourself to manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve the best project outcome possible, while supported by a Senior Project Manager and surrounding teams. You’ll also be happy and able to work effectively as part of a diverse and global team, whilst also able to work independently to drive outcomes
