Renishaw is seeking an HR Administrator to provide employee lifecycle support and enhance our Human Resources Shared Services Team. This role plays an integral part in delivering efficient, accurate and customer-focused administrative support, ensuring consistent HR process in line with company policies, procedures and employment legislation. The role acts as a first point of contact for HR queries and supports managers and employees with transactional HR activities. The role sits within the HR Shared Services team, reporting to the HR Shared Services Team Leader, working closely across functions to ensure effective service delivery and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Employee lifecycle administration
- Process new starters, contractual changes, transfers and leavers.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters and HR documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems such as Workday and manage day to day tasks.
- HR query management
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries.
- Manage the HR shared inbox and respond to routine employee and manager queries.
- Provide support and guidance to employees throughout their family friendly leave journey.
- Escalate complex issues to HR Advisors, HR Business Partners or specialist teams as required, support notetaking and letter preparation activities.
- Data management & compliance
- Ensure employee data is accurate, complete and maintained in line with GDPR requirements.
- Conduct compliance checks, including right-to-work, probation and employment documentation.
- Produce standard HR reports and metrics as required.
- Payroll & benefits support
- Process payroll-related changes and liaise with the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Support benefits administration and employee data uploads.
- Continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery.
- Support HR projects through system testing, process improvements and data quality initiatives.
- Maintain process documentation and guides, support knowledge-sharing across the team.
Key requirements
- Previous experience in an HR administration high-volume administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and process minded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Customer focused and collaborative approach.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
Desirable requirements
- Experience working within an HR Shared Services environment.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR processes.
- Experience using Workday (HRIS).
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD Level 3 or equivalent.
