Renishaw has a vacancy for the position of Semi-skilled Manual Operator in the Machine Shop on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the role is the kitting and de‑kitting of machine tool carousels to support production.
Responsibilities
- Manual kitting of Ramtic carousels whilst adhering to the quality standard, within the set time.
- Basic inspection of completed parts in accordance with quality documentation.
- Maintain the high standards of housekeeping in the working area.
- Key requirements
- The ability to demonstrate written and numeracy skills.
- The ability to follow written and pictorial instructions accurately.
- The ability to safely use a range of hand tools used during the kitting process.
Desirable requirements
- A comprehensive knowledge of the Ramtic kitting process.
- Basic PC skills are required, although full training will be given to successful applicant.
Person specification
- This role would ideally suit somebody who values the importance of attention to detail.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to work unaided whilst forming part of a team.
- A positive “can do” attitude would also be of benefit.
- Good communication skills are essential for the role.
