Renful Premier Technologies is a small, established technology company specialising in security training and simulation software. Our customers include airports, government organisations, civil aviation authorities and security companies around the world. We are a close-knit team of approximately 10 people based in Finchley Central, with a large international customer base and two small overseas subsidiaries.

We are looking for an experienced Company Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounting and finance activities, together with some general office administration.

  • Managing day-to-day accounting using Sage 50 Accounts
  • Running payroll using Sage 50 Payroll
  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers and carrying out bank reconciliations
  • Managing company banking, supplier payments and customer receipts
  • Preparing management accounts and regular financial reports
  • Monitoring and forecasting cash flow
  • VAT-related accounting and routine financial administration
  • Coordinating financial matters relating to our two overseas subsidiaries and liaising with their local accountants
  • Assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Liaising with our UK accountants, banks and other professional advisers
  • Supporting the Directors with financial information and ad-hoc requirements
  • General office management, administration and record keeping

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years' relevant accounting/finance experience in a small to medium sized company
  • Good practical experience with Sage 50 Accounts
  • Experience with Sage 50 Payroll
  • Experience preparing management accounts and managing cash flow
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping, banking, reconciliations and VAT
  • Good Excel and general IT skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Experience within an SME, international business, multi-currency accounting would be useful but is not essential
  • A formal accounting qualification is welcome but not essential

Salary: £40,000–£45,000, depending on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

Benefits:

  • 20 days' annual leave plus UK bank holidays
  • Workplace pension – 3% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution

  • Initially office-based in Finchley Central
  • After six months, up to two days per week working from home may be agreed, subject to performance and business requirements
