Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and care management to individuals receiving care through Adult Community Mental Health Services.
  • Take statutory intervention responsibility and implement care plans through Self‑Directed Support options.
  • Work within a large, multi‑disciplinary service, prioritising tasks and meeting competing demands as part of a team and independently.
  • Use IT packages, remain flexible, and deliver services consistent with social work values.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent; registration with the Scottish Social Services Council essential.
  • Newly qualified workers must achieve registration with SSSC within six months of taking up the role.
  • Experience in statutory social work services.
  • Excellent assessment, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and work collaboratively.
  • Commitment to social work values and ability to adapt flexible approach.

Background Checks

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check; the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
