Job Summary
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for the delivery of day care to adults who have PMLD and Autism, consistent with Social Work policies and procedures including assisting service users to meet their needs as detailed in their care plans in a way which respects their dignity as individuals, maximising their levels of independence and promoting their inclusion within the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day care services to adults with PMLD and Autism.
- Assist service users in meeting their needs as per care plans.
- Respect user dignity, promote independence and inclusion.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with people who have PMLD and Autism.
- Organisational, communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Effective communicator; courteous manner toward service users, carers, professionals, and agencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; enthusiastic and motivated.
- Knowledge of common computer system packages; flexible working.
- Possession of a SVQ Level 2 in Social Care is desirable; commitment to achieve this qualification is essential.
