We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to the post of Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service for Renfrewshire HSCP on a fixed term basis. You will provide support to colleagues, team leads and directly care manage complex cases. This is a significant role within Renfrewshire HSCP Adult Services and Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services. You will also be part of the wider NHSGGC Alcohol & Drug Services network.

Following a whole system review of our alcohol and drug services, a workforce plan is being developed to ensure we have the required skill mix to deliver the future model of a fully integrated, recovery focused service. The services are currently in a transition phase shifting from separate alcohol and drug service provision to a fully integrated alcohol and drug recovery focused treatment and care service.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with effective literacy, communication and interpersonal skills who will have the ability to manage change in the delivery of organisational restructure. It is essential you have the commitment and ability to achieve/or have SVQ level 3 in Social Care/Community Care or equivalent, previous experience working with individuals affected by alcohol and drugs and knowledge of a recovery orientated system of care.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with service users, their families and other key stakeholders.
  • Ability to use own initiative and also work as part of a team.
  • Registration with SSSC or achieve registration within 6 months of taking up employment is also essential.

If successful, you will be required to become a PVG Scheme Member.
