The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Refugee Resettlement service as part of Housing Support Services. You will assist in developing and facilitating a wide range of health and wellbeing activities.

You must have experience in developing, delivering, and facilitating a variety of participative social activities, as well as dealing with the public and working with local communities, vulnerable groups, including refugees, and a range of stakeholders and service providers.

It is essential that you have an awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people's issues and other relevant legislation, effective organisational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to plan ahead and anticipate potential obstacles, and the ability to relate to people at all levels with a flexible approach to work.

You will be expected to manage your own workload with minimum supervision and use your own initiative when making decisions. You must have a flexible approach to working outside of normal working hours.

Previous administrative, numerate, and record-keeping experience, as well as experience in cash handling and using common IT systems, is also essential. An SVQ Level 2 in Social Care, Health Care, or equivalent is desirable.

Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups and building good relationships with them, a First Aid certificate, record-keeping experience, experience with Microsoft Office packages, and a full driving licence are also desirable.

Please note that this post is temporary for 2 years, subject to business needs and funding, or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is earlier. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check; the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
