If you are looking for your next move, why don’t you consider Renfrewshire Council’s Property Services team? We are looking for a customer focused, innovative and flexible individual that can help support the Council’s Capital and Revenue building programmes.

You will assist in the day-to-day management of property maintenance and general provision of Building Surveying Services. As an ambassador for the Council, you will assist in undertaking planned and reactive property maintenance on a varied portfolio of Council Assets including assisting in managing all aspects of building repairs, preparing estimates and commissioning contractors.

You will also assist in providing a range of professional services including:

  • Condition survey reports
  • Defect analysis surveys
  • Feasibility studies
  • Dilapidations
  • Schedules of condition
  • Statutory consents
  • Fire insurance valuations
  • Preparation of CAD drawings
  • Ensuring compliance with current legislation, contract conditions and council standing orders

You must have effective IT and verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to use AutoCAD, as well as an understanding of the general principles of property management. Successful completion of year 1 and 2 of the relevant Built Environment Degree course is essential.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 6 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
