We are looking for an enthusiastic, recovery focussed individual that is committed to the value base of Renfrewshire’s HSCP. You will work within a large, multi-disciplinary service, to provide an assessment and care management role to those who receive care and treatment through Adult Community Mental Health Services.

As a social worker you will be responsible for statutory intervention as well as implementing care plans through Self-Directed Support options. BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council is essential; if newly qualified workers must achieve registration with SSSC within 6 months of taking up role.

You must have experience in statutory Social Work services, the ability to prioritise tasks, competing demands and work as part of a team as well as on your own. Assessment and writing skills as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills are also essential. You must be able to use IT packages, be flexible in approach and have a commitment to social work values.

Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the department’s commitment to continuous improvement. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
