Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the delivery of care to older adults, consistent with Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership policies and procedures. This will involve assisting residents in all aspects of personal, health and social care in a way which respects their dignity as individuals and promotes their maximum independence.
You must have previous experience of working with older people and understand their needs; have effective verbal and written communicate skills, literacy skills; show a professional and courteous manner to residents, relatives, carers, health professionals and other agencies; undertake keyworker responsibilities and be able to work on your own initiative, be flexible and adaptable with the capacity to learn.
You will be fully supported by senior staff in achieving a high standard of work given the opportunities and training to develop your knowledge and skills. You will be responsible for supporting Social Care Assistants in their role.
It is essential that you hold or have the capacity to achieve an SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.
You must be able to work shifts, including weekends, on a rota basis.
Youare required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council or achieve registration within 6 months of taking up employment.
