The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
Working as part of a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, you will be responsible for the delivery of services to young people and adults who have a learning disability or autism, consistent with Social Work policies and procedures including assisting service users to meet their needs as detailed in their care plans in a way which respects their dignity as individuals, maximising their levels of independence and promoting their inclusion within the wider community.
You must enjoy working with people who have learning difficulties and autism and have an understanding of their needs; be an effective communicator, showing a courteous manner to service users, carers, other professionals and agencies; be able to work within social group settings and on your own initiative; be honest, enthusiastic, positive and willing to learn and apply new skills. You must be available to work flexible hours.
Possession of a SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent qualification is desirable. A driving licence that allows you to drive a minibus is desirable. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
