The Community Meals Service is looking for an enthusiastic Sessional Worker to assist in the regeneration process of frozen foods for a hot meal delivery service.

The main duties will include:

  • Taking delivery and assisting with re-ordering of stock and stock rotation and control
  • Organising paperwork in relation to client lists
  • Food temperature testing
  • Ensuring that all food hygiene and health and safety procedures are complied with
  • Maintenance of kitchen and equipment hygiene

You should be able to demonstrate experience of kitchen and kitchen equipment hygiene and have a knowledge of catering and food hygiene standards. Possess organisational skills, an ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative and to adhere to set timescales are essential. Full training will be given; however, experience of working in a kitchen or catering setting is desirable. You should have a flexible approach as weekend work is required.
