This post offers an exciting opportunity to support children, young people, and their families as part of the Whole Family Wellbeing service.

Renfrewshire\’s Family Wellbeing Service provides early intervention and support to families to prevent family breakdown, and to provide help to families at the earliest possible opportunity to avoid escalation to statutory services. Renfrewshire\’s Family Wellbeing service offers a range of innovative supports to children, young people, and their families. Working as part of the school\’s team within the Family Wellbeing service following the Team around the child framework Senior Family Wellbeing workers offer integrated support based on the principals of Getting It Right for Every Child. Family Wellbeing service staff also offer evidence-informed interventions including Non-Violent Resistance, Sleep Scotland, and Seasons for Growth. This post would offer a challenge to suitably qualified and experienced staff who are committed to improving the wellbeing, rights, and educational outcomes of Renfrewshire\’s children, especially the most vulnerable.

Working with children who have additional support needs and their families, supporting vulnerable learners by developing and delivering high quality packages of support, dealing with competing demands and working with our education and multi-agency partners you will benefit from a professional development via a wide range of training and development opportunities and regular supervision.

A professionally recognised qualification in teaching, community education, social work, health, or degree qualification in a related discipline is essential.

You must have significant experience of assessing, planning, and delivering a variety of interventions to children, young people and their families, experience of working with young people within an educational setting or liaising closely with educational provision to support learners\’ achievements, experience of working with children and young people with a range of needs e.g. care experienced CYP and families, young carers, CYP and families affected by loss, CYP and families affected by trauma and experience of integrated planning of support with inter-agency partners.

Please note that this post is temporary for 6 months, subject to business needs or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
