Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Facilities Operative (Production Cook) who can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to deliver a high quality, modern Soft Facilities Management/Catering service.
You will be responsible for the cooking and production of compliant school meals following the food and drink in Schools (Scotland) regulations.
You will have responsibility, at site level, for the supervision of staff, ensuring effective delivery of the catering service. It is essential that you have previous supervisory experience and are willing to undertake training. It is essential that you have previous catering experience in a similar environment.
It is desirable that you have experience of working in a customer focused environment. It is essential that you have previous experience of dealing with members of the public and be willing and enthusiastic to work as part of a team.
You will have literacy, numeracy and IT skills and it is desirable that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues.
It is essential that you are willing to work toward achieving a REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or already possess this qualification.
