The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This Senior Accommodation Officer will be based within the Abercorn Street Service. A key function will be to support the development of the accommodation service, to strengthen the service’s ability to manage its resources and provide suitable temporary accommodation efficiently, which meets the new standards being proposed by the Scottish Government.
You will contribute to an audit of Renfrewshire’s temporary accommodation, making recommendations to ensure that the service is fit for purpose in relation to effective management, supply and standards of accommodation.
It is essential that you have experience of supervising and managing a range of staff whose focus is to provide an effective and efficient accommodation service. You must have relevant experience of working with other agencies and departments together with effective IT, numeracy and communication skills.
You will ensure that key protocols and procedures with partner agencies and departments are managed effectively. You will also be required to prepare reports and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the accommodation service. A working knowledge of homelessness and developments in national housing policy is also required.
Normal hours of duty are 35 hours per week to be worked as directed between Monday to Sunday. The post holder may be required to work extended hours during evenings and weekends including attendance at meetings and conferences/seminars as required.
Full driving licence is essential.
