You will be required to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians crossing the road. You must wear the appropriate uniform and use the equipment provided to ensure the safety of children, pedestrians and yourself.
Main duties of the post include:
- Maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross;
- Report any problems or difficulties to the facilities co-ordinator;
- Co-operate with the introduction of new procedures and/or new equipment/technology;
- Be conversant with and operate at all times with the current Health and Safety at Work Legislation.
It is essential that you have effective communication skills, be able to demonstrate road sense knowledge and be able to work in inclement weather.
