We have an exciting opportunity for three experienced and ambitiousProject Managersto join ourProgramme Management Unit.

In this role, you will lead and support a range of key strategic programmes and major projects across the council, providing professional change management, including both programme and project management.

A significant part of your work may involve major capital infrastructure projects aligned withRenfrewshire’s Learning Estate Strategy. Therefore, experience in developingBusiness Casesand conductingInvestment Appraisalsis desirable.

Duties will include monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day progress of projects ensuring production of satisfactory documentation; developing implementation and contingency plans whilst managing project risks; overseeing budgets and reporting project progress including attendance at programme and other appropriate boards.

You must possess previous experience of project management with a demonstrable record of achievement coupled with knowledge of change methodologies; effective written and verbal communication skills, leadership and influential skills. You will be self-motivated with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst developing effective working relationships.

A degree or other relevant professional qualification or accreditation in Project Management is desirable.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 2 years.
