Renfrewshire Playscheme; based in Linwood; operates during Spring and Summer school breaks. We are seeking to add to its pool of sessional Playscheme Workers to deliver a play experience for children and young people with additional support needs. The age range of the children eligible to attend is from P1 to S6.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of a team, with other sessional workers. Experience developing play activities for children and young people is essential. You should have effective communication, analytical and organisational skills; ability to plan, organise and deliver fun indoor and outdoor experiences.

You will be expected to participate in training activities in relation to the post including Child Protection and other training pertinent to this post. It is essential you can work independently and as part of a team and have the ability to work in other settings if required.

Desirable requirements include the ability to have fun with the children, create new play experiences and show initiative when required. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
