The Community Meals Service is looking for an enthusiastic Sessional Worker to assist in the regeneration process of frozen foods for a hot meal delivery service.
The main duties will include:
- Taking delivery and assisting with re-ordering of stock and stock rotation and control
- Organising paperwork in relation to client lists
- Food temperature testing
- Ensuring that all food hygiene and health and safety procedures are complied with
- Maintenance of kitchen and equipment hygiene
You should be able to demonstrate experience of kitchen and kitchen equipment hygiene and have knowledge of catering and food hygiene standards. Possess organisational skills, an ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative and to adhere to set timescales are essential.
Full training will be given; however, experience of working in a kitchen or catering setting is desirable. You should have a flexible approach as weekend work is required.
If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
