The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.
You will be responsible to the Accommodation Co-ordinator for assisting homeless applicants to move in/out of temporary accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers to move furniture and belongings into and from houses and deliver furniture starter packs.
- Keep houses and garden areas clean and tidy.
- Carry out minor repairs/DIY within short stay flats.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of dealing with the public in person, cleaning, caretaking and furniture removal and deliveries is essential.
- Knowledge of the Renfrewshire area; effective communication skills; a flexible approach to work with the ability to deal with service users in a sympathetic manner.
- Previous experience of handling cash, maintaining stores, stock control; general knowledge of Housing Services or Homelessness; training in ergonomic manual handling is desirable.
- A full current driving licence is essential.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 6 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check; the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
