The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.
Based at Underwood Road Depot, you will work as part of a team to deliver frontline Neighbourhood services operations across Renfrewshire. You will be responsible for participating in activities specifically related to the day-to-day functioning of a range of Neighbourhood Services operations e.g. refuse collection, loading, landscaping areas, uplift, grass cutting, weed management, parks maintenance, pavement gritting amongst other duties.
You will be expected to operate and undertake duties across the full range and remit of Neighbourhood Services providing effective, modern front-line service to the residents of Renfrewshire. You will also be required to carry out general grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting, litter removal, bin emptying and leaf removal. You will be required to rotate across the various depots as required in line with the needs of the service.
Experience in a similar working environment, dealing with the public and business community and previous experience of manual work are essential. You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills and be prepared to work in inclement weather conditions. It is essential you have a flexible approach to work with the ability to use initiative, work as part of a team throughout Renfrewshire as required. Experience of working within a Neighbourhood Services environment and Health and safety procedural knowledge is desirable.
Current driving licence is essential. Valid First Aid at Work Certificate or willingness to work towards is also essential. You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of the check will be determined by the duties of the post.
