Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Facilities Operative who can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to deliver a high quality, modern Soft Facilities Management service in schools across Renfrewshire.
You will have responsibility, at site level, for the supervision of staff, ensuring effective delivery of all aspects of the Soft FM service which includes building and grounds cleaning; catering; school crossing patrol; security; and any other related services.
It is essential that you have previous supervisory experience and are willing to undertake training. You will have a flexible approach to working hours and have experience of working in a customer focused environment and be willing and enthusiastic to work as part of a team including the supervision, training and development of the Facilities Operatives.
It is desirable that you have previous Soft FM experience in a similar environment. You will have literacy, numeracy and IT skills and it is desirable that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues.
It is essential that you have a REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or are willing to work towards if not already in possession of REHIS Elementary Food Safety Certificate.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 6 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
