Senior Counter Fraud Investigator

Our corporate counter fraud team is committed to providing a high-quality service to the organisation.

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, skilled and suitably qualified person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to help us meet this objective.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Service Manager and Chief Auditor, you will be responsible for arranging counter fraud work, supervising the counter fraud officers, ensuring that suitable counter fraud policies, procedures and guidelines are developed and raising fraud prevention awareness throughout the Council and Partner Bodies.

The post holder will also ensure that fraud investigations are conducted in line with council policy and relevant legislation.

You will have experience in conducting investigations, dealing with members of the public and experience of dealing with counter fraud.

You must have analytical, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to operate standard MS Office packages.

You will have the ability to supervise the work of the team members and organise the workflow within the team, team building skills and the ability to drive team performance.

You must be

Professionalism in Security (PINS) qualified or have an equivalent counter fraud qualification.
