We are delivering an exciting programme of regeneration initiatives and projects in Renfrewshire - an ambitious programme for an area with huge potential. Developing, regenerating and enhancing Renfrewshire's places, making the area an attractive place to live, visit and do business is at the heart of the Council's work.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-disciplinary Regeneration team and support the delivery of our ambitious agenda. Educated to degree level or equivalent, with relevant experience in project management, you will have a particular focus on heritage renewal and project delivery and will play a key role in the Council's emerging work supporting the development of an area-based heritage scheme which will retain and revive the built heritage of the village of Lochwinnoch.
You will have experience in partnership working, engaging and consulting with communities and a broad range of stakeholders. You must have effective communication skills, and the ability to process, evaluate and monitor grant applications, along with the ability to analyse complex situations. Experience of engaging communities in regeneration projects and organising and running public meetings and events is essential.
It is essential that you have knowledge of current planning, conservation and enforcement issues and systems, and knowledge and understanding of the role of heritage in regeneration, as well as report writing skills.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funded for 1 Year or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check. The level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
