Renfrewshire Council is seeking to recruit Clerical and Administration Modern Apprentices. Our Clerical and Administration Modern Apprentices will primarily be based in various Council establishments across Renfrewshire (depending on current vacancies). Some apprentices may be expected to use a hybrid work model which will involve working at home. Modern Apprentices will earn attractive salaries while working towards a SCQF Level 6 Scottish Vocational Qualification.
Applicants will preferably be aged between 17 and 19. However, we will accept applications from those aged above 19 who must meet all other essential criteria. It is essential that applicants are residents within Renfrewshire.
It is also essential that applicants have achieved a minimum of two Highers at grade C or above (or that they can clearly evidence achievement of equivalent comparable qualifications or can clearly evidence recent relevant work experience in a business and administration role). It is essential that applicants can evidence a good standard of numeracy and literacy, have good communication skills, have the ability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative. It is essential that applicants are flexible to meet service needs and are motivated to achieve all aspects of the apprenticeship requirements.
It is desirable that applicants are computer literate and have knowledge and experience of computer software packages. Successful applicants will be provided with a positive opportunity to pursue permanent employment and a worthwhile career within Renfrewshire Council.
If you meet the essential criteria noted and are confident you have the commitment to gain a SCQF Level 6 qualification in a year or less, apply now.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief or age. We would particularly invite applications from those priority groups who are under-represented across our apprenticeship programme. This includes young women, care experienced, those with a disability (including a learning disability) and those from Black and Minority Ethnic communities.
