Overview: You will undertake a range of administrative tasks in support of the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused, support service within Johnstone High School.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of staff.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors and dealing with customer enquiries online and by telephone in line with Customer Care standards.
  • Carrying out a range of administrative tasks including the preparation of correspondence, reports and minute taking as required.
  • Data quality checking/quality assurance and maintaining a range of manual and computer based recording systems to ensure that all records you are responsible for are accurate, up to date and stored in line with Council Policy.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential experience in customer service and carrying out a wide range of administrative tasks.
  • Experience working with standard computer systems including Microsoft Office packages (Excel and Word).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative; meet deadlines and quality standards; multi-task and have effective organisational, communication, literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience supervising staff and developing processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Renfrewshire Council's Corporate Policies and practices.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.

Details:

  • Preferred working pattern: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
  • Interviews will be held on Friday 6 March.
  • If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check. The level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
