The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

You will ensure a high quality, customer focused Estate Management Service within the neighbourhood, ensuring effective customer liaison and promotion of tenant participation and that all housing management functions are carried out in accordance with Council policy and procedures. A key aspect will be to ensure that all rent arrears recovery and early intervention activities are carried out in accordance with policies and procedures to minimise any debt owed.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring that the environment in your designated area is well maintained and kept clean and tidy.
  • Highlighting any unresolved local problems with other service providers and taking appropriate action in conjunction with Local Housing Services Co-ordinator.
  • Visiting tenants in their own home and conducting interviews with tenants at the office.

It is essential you have housing experience including estate management and debt recovery; dealing with the public in their own home or in an interview situation; experience of letter and report writing; have effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to use your own initiative.

You must have knowledge of Housing (Scotland) Act, Housing Benefit Regulations and Tenants Act and must be willing to work out of hours evenings and weekends, as and when required. A national certificate level qualification in Housing, Business Studies or equivalent is desirable as is a full current driving licence.
