The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 € per year.

The Housing Assistant will contribute to the delivery of local housing services including interviewing and advising customers on their housing prospects/needs; interviewing and advising customers in person, by telephone or video link regarding key tenancy matters, including termination of tenancy; and maximising income for the Council, including managing rent arrears and advising our tenants on income maximisation.

You must have relevant experience of dealing with the public in person and on the telephone, working with figures and Microsoft Office packages. A general knowledge of housing services is essential, as is numeracy skills and you must have effective customer service and communication skills. The ability and confidence to deal with angry/upset customers is also required.

You will be expected to use your initiative when making decisions and you must be capable of organising your own workload and work at other locations and/or work flexibly when required. A National Certificate in Housing (or equivalent) is desirable.
