The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

You will provide a consistent high-quality service in all areas allocated to you within the care home environment to ensure that the environment meets the requirements of the service specification and expectations of clients and staff alike.

Key tasks for which you will be responsible include:

  • Carrying out tasks relating to catering, cleaning and laundry services;
  • Ensuring that the clients’ dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times;
  • Working within all areas of the care home environment of Facilities Management Soft Services as instructed by the Assistant Facilities Housekeeper or other appropriate manager;
  • Ensuring that all areas used by the clients and care staff are maintained to the required standard on a consistent and timely basis.

It is essential that you have experience of working within the catering, cleaning and laundry service and high awareness of current hygiene practices. You must have organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. An SVQ (or equivalent) in Catering, SVQ (or equivalent) in Cleaning or elementary food hygiene certificate are desirable.

This Post is 16 hours, 5 days over 7, including alternate weekends. Work pattern: 15.30-18.30, 4 days per week, 1 day 14.30-18.30.
