You will provide a consistent high-quality service in all areas allocated to you within the care home environment to ensure that the environment meets the requirements of the service specification and expectations of clients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out tasks relating to catering, cleaning, and laundry services.
  • Ensuring that the clients' dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Working within all areas of the care home environment of Facilities Management Soft Services as instructed by the Assistant Facilities Housekeeper or other appropriate manager.
  • Ensuring that all areas used by the clients and care staff are maintained to the required standard on a consistent and timely basis.

Qualifications:

  • It is essential that you have experience of working within the catering, cleaning, and laundry service and high awareness of current hygiene practices.
  • You must have organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • An SVQ (or equivalent) in Catering, SVQ (or equivalent) in Cleaning, or an elementary food hygiene certificate are desirable.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check; the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.

Location: Hunter Hill Care Home

Working Pattern: 16-hour Housekeeper position working between the hours of 15:30-18:30+1, 5 over 7, 52 Weeks.
