We provide a wide range of support to assist people to maintain their independence and well-being within the community.
As a Home Care Worker, you would be supporting individuals with a variety of daily living tasks which people may struggle with on their own. Our vision is for Renfrewshire to be a caring place where people are treated as individuals and are supported to live well. We are committed to ensuring the individual is at the heart of their care and support whilst honouring their values, needs and preferences.
It is essential you have experience of working in a care setting and delivering intimate personal care or in an informal or personal capacity. You should have an awareness of a range of limiting long-term conditions and the impact on people’s lives, demonstrate an ability to monitor and report changes in the identified needs of service users and have an ability to form positive relationships with service users and colleagues.
We are looking for caring, compassionate, patient, and professional people with a responsible approach to sensitive information, who have a drive to make a difference. You should also be able to demonstrate within your application that you are reliable and flexible with the ability to work a shift pattern, work on your own as well as working as part of a team. It is important you can communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and are able to monitor and report changes in the identified needs of those you support.
If successful, you will receive training and be provided with a uniform and all personal protective equipment (including a smartphone) required to undertake the role safely and effectively.
We have the following contract available: 35 hour split shift, working early and back shift.
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday 07:00-12:00 and 16:00-21:00 or 08:00-13:00 and 17:00-22:00
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 07:00-12:00 and 16:00-21:00 or 08:00-13:00 and 17:00-22:00
Please note: This post requires you to obtain Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration within 6 months of employment and to have or to have the ability to undertake and attain SVQ Level 2 in Care or an equivalent qualification at level 5 (SCQF) or above if not already in possession of to meet the requirements of registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). This post is considered regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
