The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Refugee Resettlement service as part of Housing Support Services. You will develop and facilitate a wide range of health and wellbeing activities.
For this new post, you must have experience of developing, managing and facilitating a variety of participative social activities; as well as dealing with the public and working with local communities, vulnerable groups, including refugees, and a range of stakeholders and service providers.
It is essential that you have:
- An awareness of relevant legislation and good practice relating to refugees and vulnerable groups
- Effective organisational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to plan ahead and anticipate potential obstacles
- The ability to relate to people at all levels
- A flexible approach to work
You will manage a team of wellbeing officers and be expected to manage workloads and use your own initiative when making decisions. A flexible approach to working outside normal working hours is required.
An SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, Health Care or equivalent is desirable. You must be willing to work towards obtaining this qualification. Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups, building good relationships with them, report writing, First Aid certificate, record keeping experience, experience of Microsoft Office packages, and a full driving licence are also desirable.
Please note that this post is temporary for 9 months, subject to business needs and funding or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
