Working as a whole school technician, you will assist the teaching staff in the work necessary in practical areas and workrooms as well as undertaking Audio Visual duties. Duties include preparing materials, equipment, and teaching resources for use by teachers and students within the whole school area.

You will assist the teaching staff within the Technical department and will support the use of computer aided teaching resources within Technical/other departments. You will be required to keep abreast of Health and Safety legislation and to assist with setting up and maintaining Audio Visual equipment.

You will also provide technical support to all departments within the school as requested by the Head Teacher or nominee, including the Technical department, and will support Audio Visual activities. You will be responsible for servicing Technical practical areas and workrooms, ensuring that all equipment and materials are presented and stored in a safe condition.

It is essential you have experience of working in a science/audio visual/technical department and also have an awareness of statutory inspection requirements and Health.
