Advert An opportunity has arisen within Environment, Housing & Infrastructure (Renfrewshire Community Safety Hub) for five motivated individuals to become Environmental Compliance Officers.
You will carry out regular patrols throughout Renfrewshire.
This is a key frontline role where you will help protect communities, enhance environmental quality, and tackle antisocial behaviour.
Working as part of (and at times leading) a small team, you will play an important role within the Community Safety Partnership , engaging with residents, businesses, and partner agencies to promote compliance with environmental legislation.
Key roles include: Environmental crime Antisocial behaviour Parking enforcement You will balance education, advice, and enforcement , ensuring public safety while supporting our wider Public Protection priorities.
Close working relationships with partners, including Police Scotland will require to be maintained.
You must have effective communication, reporting and interpersonal skills, the ability to use your own initiative, work under pressure and contribute toward the delivery of targets and objective set out for the service and contribute towards a continual improvement within the service.
If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
