Reporting to the Head of Education, you will ensure equity and excellence in a number of link schools in line with the service’s quality improvement framework. You will support and challenge schools to improve through effective use of data.

You will also be responsible for service planning and links to community planning and integrated children’s service planning within the strategic remit of inclusion and additional support needs.

It is essential that you possess a degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, have significant experience of managing a team in a large complex organization, have previous experience at Senior Leadership level within a Primary/Secondary or ASN School and are able to demonstrate an ability to effectively manage resources including financial, human and ICT.

It would also be essential that you have significant insight into Additional Support for Learning legislation and have experience in improving outcomes for all children and in particular those who have a support need. Attendance and exclusion data and developing a locality model will be an area of particular focus.

You should also be able to demonstrate good all-round technical skills, together with an understanding and experience of managing the key aspects of implementing local and national initiatives.

It is a requirement to demonstrate effective management involvement in the implementation of an important local initiative that you can demonstrate resilience with a high degree of personal motivation, the ability to drive and motivate others and develop an effective and efficient team.
