Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Support Worker. You will be part of a team assisting nursery officers in the delivery of early learning and childcare including supporting lunchtimes, working with individual/groups of children and the organisation of playrooms.
It is essential that you demonstrate a commitment and ability to undertake the required qualification in early learning and childcare in line with SSSC requirements: NC in childhood practice at SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6 as stipulated in SSSC; or equivalent.
Experience of children and young people, ability to communicate orally with children and adults, caring nature, responsive and an awareness of the needs of young children is also essential.
If not already registered with SSSC, you will be required to do so as Support Worker of Day Care of Children Service within the designated timeline.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
