Corporate Address Gazetteer Custodian based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley. An interesting opportunity has arisen to become the Corporate Address Gazetteer Custodian for Renfrewshire with lead responsibility for all matters relating to addresses in Renfrewshire.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, development and promotion of the Council's Corporate Address Gazetteer. This is a definitive record of addresses for all properties in Renfrewshire and is used by all Council systems and functions that make use of addresses.

You will also be responsible for receiving and resolving all address related enquiries arising within Renfrewshire and for the naming and numbering of streets within new developments. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders on addressing matters, acting as the Council's principal representative in meetings and correspondence.

You will have experience of using systems to manage data, and it would be desirable for you to have experience of managing address-related data and working with other types of spatial data. Knowledge of addressing and street naming and numbering issues is essential, as is an aptitude for problem solving.

Attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and to work under own initiative with limited direction is essential. Occasional site visits across Renfrewshire will be required.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
