Advert Community Learning & Development Officer Renfrewshire Council’s Youth Team, part of the wider Connected Communities Service, is seeking a motivated and qualified Community Learning Officer to join the team on a temporary basis to cover current vacancies.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful community-based youth work and support young people to achieve positive outcomes and improved life chances.

Working primarily within community settings, you will play a key role in identifying the needs of young people and developing targeted projects and programmes that engage, support, and empower them.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver high quality youth work provision aligned with local priorities and the wider Community Planning agenda.

You must have experience in delivering community learning and development projects and supporting and developing communities, as well as experience of working in partnership with a range of agencies, and experience of outcome-based planning and self-evaluation.

You will have the ability to organise, manage and prioritise a diverse workload and meet deadlines, and be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

It is essential that you have effective communication, presentation and written skills, and influencing and negotiation skills at all levels.

A relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience is essential.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
