Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Support Worker.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a team assisting nursery officers in the delivery of early learning and childcare, including supporting lunchtimes, working with individual and/or groups of children, and the organisation of playrooms.

Qualifications

  • Essential: demonstrate a commitment and ability to undertake the required qualification in early learning and childcare in line with SSSC requirements: NC in Childhood Practice at SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6, or equivalent.
  • Experience of children and young people.
  • Ability to communicate orally with children and adults.
  • Caring nature, responsive and aware of the needs of young children.
  • If not already registered with SSSC, you will be required to register as a Support Worker of Day Care of Children Service within the designated timeline.

  • This post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is earlier.
