Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.
What we do:
Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for the Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Council areas in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists and Registers of Electors.

Who are we looking for:
You will be responsible for providing support to the Information Manager and Assistant Information Manager in the effective delivery of the administrative service, carrying out a comprehensive range of clerical work of a responsible nature associated with the compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Council Tax Valuation List and Electoral Register and working within well-established parameters. You will also assist in the supervision of clerical staff in their daily duties. Key tasks will include liaising with the Information Manager/Assistant Information Manager in the effective delivery of the valuation processes for the Board area. You will also be responsible for supporting the Information Manager/Assistant Information Manager to deliver the potentially competing demands of the administrative functions of the Valuation Services and the Electoral Registration Service in an environment of changing priorities and demands.
It is essential that you have an understanding of the statutory responsibilities of the Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer. You must have experience of performing a wide range of administrative tasks and experience of utilising Microsoft Office packages such as Microsoft Office and Excel etc. It is desirable to have experience of supervising staff. It is also essential that you have the proven ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines, effective organisational, communication and customer service skills, are self-motivated, flexible and work well as part of a team. You should also be able to prioritise your workload. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes is also desirable for this role.
