Construction Site Supervisor in Blantyre

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities across civil and electrical transmission works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site operatives, plant, and material resources.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Oversee civil activities including earthworks, foundations, drainage, ducting, cable routes, and access roads.
• Supervise electrical installation activities including cable laying, earthing, equipment installation, and testing support.
• Monitor compliance with drawings, specifications, RAMS, permits, and project procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
• Manage health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements on site.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Track and report progress, risks, delays, and site performance.
• Support inspection, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Ensure accurate site records, daily reports, and as-built information are maintained.

Key Requirements

• Experience supervising civil and electrical construction works within transmission, utilities, or power sectors.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• SSSTS/SMSTS required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience on National Grid, renewable energy, substation, or transmission infrastructure projects desirable.
